Programs
We specialize in providing personalized, custom tailored programs that meet the individual needs of each lawn. We do not use the approach common in the industry where a set program is used on all lawns. Instead, each of our service vehicles are designed to provide products in both liquid and granular form. Our vehicles are also able to carry many different products and formulations to ensure that each individual lawn gets precisely what it needs. This personalized approach helps create lawns that are the envy of their neighborhoods.

Our most popular package

Fertilization
The secret to producing thick, green, healthy turf is to use slow released granular fertilizers. One of our goals at Turf Care Enterprises is to make your lawn the envy of your neighborhood. This is why we will only use granular, slow release fertilizers in our programs. You will not find us switching to liquid products during the season to save money like other firms.

Formulations - One of the reasons for our success is that our fertilizers are formulated based on local soil testing. We first start your lawn on a fertilizer program formulated for your area. If your lawn doesn’t respond by becoming one of the nicest in the neighborhood we will perform a soil test on your property. If your lawn requires a different formulation one can be provided usually at no additional charge.

Quality - We use the same high quality products used by most championship golf courses. Our mission is to provide superior results, this can not be accomplished with second-rate products.

Slow Release - Our fertilizers are formulated in a slow released form which feed the lawn gradually over many weeks. Slow released fertilizers provide a more consistent green color, are longer lasting, and promote superior root growth, all resulting in healthier lawns.

Natural Based Fertilizers - We use primarily natural mineral and organic based fertilizers in our programs.

100% Organic fertilizers - Optional 100% organic fertilizers are available as well.

Weed control
Experts agree that controlling weeds is best accomplished using liquid sprays. The active ingredients in the weed control products must get absorbed into the weed so it can control the entire weed including the roots. Absorption into the leaf is best accomplished with liquid materials sprayed directly onto the leaf of the weed. This is why you will only find us using liquid materials for controlling existing weeds.

Below are several other reasons we are able to provide superior weed control.

  1. Our programs are designed to make your lawn as thick as possible. Thick lawns are a natural defense against weeds as they leave little room for weeds to grow and spread.
  2. We use a special additive in our weed control mix that helps the liquid weed control absorb more easily into the leaf of the weed.
  3. Our spray equipment is specifically designed for one purpose—effective weed control. We use a fine droplet spray gun that does a superior job of coating the leaf surface of even the tiniest of weeds.
  4. We do not mix liquid fertilizers in with our weed control (a standard practice in the industry). The spray equipment that is used for applying liquid fertilizers is not as effective for weed control. Liquid fertilizer mixes also require a high volume of water  which dilutes the weed control, reducing its effectiveness.

Safety - Applying fertilizers and weed controls with separate equipment allows our applicators the ability to only apply weed control when and where necessary. We are committed to the safety of your family and our environment and we will avoid chemicals when ever possible.

Crabgrass control
Most crabgrass can be controlled naturally by getting your lawn as thick as possible. Thick lawns leave little room for crabgrass seeds to germinate and grow. Our programs are designed to do just that, make your lawn the thickest it can be. If the need arises, we have 2 different treatment options available as well.

  1. Pre-emergent controls applied in the spring to help prevent crabgrass before it emerges.
  2. Post emergent controls design to be used for existing crabgrass.

Both controls are available to all of our PFS full season (6 fertilization) customers at no extra charge.

Insect control
There are many insects which can attack and damage your lawn. Many of these insects can be controlled naturally by just eliminating certain lawn care chemicals which reduce the populations of predatory insects.  (Predatory insects help control turf damaging insects). At Turf Care our programs are designed to keep these chemicals to the absolute minimum. Our programs are also designed to make your lawn as healthy as possible. Healthy lawns are able to withstand attacks from most insects in this area usually with no permanent damage. If the need does arise and control products must be used, we have 2 types of treatment options available that are capable of controlling insects that feed both at and below the surface.

  1. Preventative products which help prevent insect damage with just one treatment per season. Grub Prevention
  2. Curative products that control existing insect problems.

Surface feeding insect controls are available to all our PFS full season (6 fertilization) customers at no additional charge.

Disease control
There are many diseases that can attack and damage your lawn, some of which can be very destructive leading to costly renovations. Our lawn care programs are designed not only to make your lawn greener and weed free, but also healthier and stronger.   Healthy lawns can fight off most diseases naturally. In rare cases some lawns may need extra help, in these situations we have fungicide treatments available at an additional fee.

Mechanical Aeration
Designed to improve air, moisture and nutrient penetration to the roots. Aeration also helps to relieve soil compaction and reduce thatch. More information

Mechanical Slice Seeding
The most effective way of repairing existing lawns without having to tear out the old lawn. More information

Over-Seeding
When slice seeding is not an option we can provide over-seeding. Over-seeding is an economical way to incorporate new seed into your lawn. Over-seeding is done in conjunction with core aeration as an additional service. After our core aeration service has been performed, we seed the lawn by broadcast seed over the newly created aeration holes. The holes provide a bed for the new seed allowing for improved germination and survival.

Bio Dethatching
100% natural, biological, thatch control and soil enhancer. More information

Geese Control
100% natural goose repellant. Keeps geese from invading and destroying your turf.
